ENGINEERING INSTRUCTIONAL FACILITIES


Engineering Computer Laboratory (Room A-225)

This state-of-the-art open computer lab is equipped with 48 workstations. Each workstation is a Dell Precision T3400, Intel Core 2 Duo CPU with 3.0 GHz, with NVIDIA Quadro FX570 256Mb graphics card, 2Gb RAM, 160G hard drive, DVD+/-RW 16x, 19" LCD monitor, & Internet access.

This facility is devoted exclusively for students to learn computer-aided drafting - no classes are scheduled in this room. The lab is open more than 60 hours each week (lab schedule link). Note - users MUST abide by the "standards of conduct" for the computer classrooms and labs & must have a signed "standards of conduct" form on file at SAC (form link here).

Instructional Classrooms (A-214 & A-216)

Engineering has 2 dedicated instructional classrooms that can each accommodate 40 students. Each room is equipped with an instructional computer & multi-media digital projection capabilities. Room A-214 may also be used to teach "board" style drafting. Large desks can accommodate drafting boards & portable parallel rules. The facility is also equipped with a print room with a large format xerographic copier.





 


 

 

 

 




CAD Plotting Facility

The Plotting room (located in CAD lab area, room A-225) has the latest in color ink-jet technology and large format printers.
